Baggage Handler Karma

Getting out of the country on Thursday 3/26 was actually pretty uneventful….IF you’re accustomed to being a scum-of-the-earth, standby traveler that is. We arrived at the SLC airport with one backpack each and a bouldering pad for the Walters. After a few missed flights, splitting up, and rerouting, we all made it to ATL shortly after the 8pm departure of the direct to Mumbai. We got to spend the night, and people-watch in the ATL airport until the next flight, the next night. My recent job (of being very nice to people’s luggage) with SkyWest Airlines made it possible for the 4 of us to get to Asia (and in business elite class, yes!)….minus our checked bags. And between a bunch of taxis, attempting to catch a train, and finally getting on a 15 hour bus to Hyderabad, it turned out to be not such a bad deal to have our stuff delivered right to Steve’s brother’s house, many days later.
